What is Power Automate?

A cloud flow begins with a trigger and performs actions across connected services. Microsoft documents automated, instant, and scheduled cloud flows. An incoming request can start an approval, a person can start a flow with a button, or a schedule can initiate a recurring transfer.
Desktop flows provide robotic process automation, or RPA, for web and desktop interfaces. They can help when a task depends on interacting with an application screen. Lightbridge Cloud evaluates that dependency separately from an API connection because interface changes and machine availability become part of the operating design.

Start a cloud flow when a relevant Dataverse row changes, then update related records or notify an owner. Test permissions and trigger conditions so updates do not create an unintended loop.
Scheduled application handoffs
Move a bounded set of records between applications on a schedule through supported connectors. Prove field mappings, duplicate handling, and recovery when the destination rejects a record.
Desktop automation
Use a desktop flow for repetitive work in an application accessed through its user interface. Validate the machine, credentials, and behavior when the application layout changes.
Azure Logic Apps is Power Automate's more developer-facing sibling.
Microsoft distinguishes Power Automate's business-user workflows from Azure Logic Apps' developer and integration-team focus. Logic Apps provides workflow orchestration managed within Azure.
